Slaw (Piklis)

 ½ Green Cabbage (Shredded)
 2 Carrots ( Peeled and grated)
 1 Medium Yellow onion
 1 Green Bell pepper (stemmed, seeded and thinly sliced)
 1 Habanero ( minced)
 1 cup White Vinegar
 ½ cup Lime Juice
 4 Cloves of garlic
 Salt (to taste)
 Pepper (to taste)

Clean, peel and shred cabbage and carrots. You can use a knife and cut thin, or a grater works wonders too.

Deseed habanero and mince fine, (wash hands immediately after handling habanero, wear gloves if you like)

Place carrots, cabbage, pepper, onion in a bowl with the vinegar, lime, and cloves, toss evenly.

Add salt and pepper to taste. Let slaw sit for a ½ hour-1 hour to allow the cabbage to break down.

Serve with scallions as garnish.
